Terms of Sale and Use

Last updated: 14 August 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version

Steady On is not medical advice and not a doctor. It records what you tell it and shows you patterns. Every decision about your health stays between you and your clinician.

Your access starts the moment you pay, and you agree at checkout that this ends the statutory 14-day cancellation right. Week one of the programme is free precisely so you can see whether it suits you before paying anything.

Cancel a subscription whenever you like, in one tap, and you keep what you paid for until the end of the period.

1. Who you are contracting with

Steady On is operated by Symington Intelligence Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

These terms apply when you create an account or buy anything from us. By doing either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.

2. What Steady On is, and what it is not

Steady On is an educational and self-tracking tool for people living with POTS and other forms of dysautonomia. It lets you record information about yourself, and it shows that information back to you.

It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Steady On does not tell you what is wrong with you, does not tell you what to take, and is not a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. It is not a regulated medical device. Nothing in it should be used to start, stop or change a medication, and no reading it displays should be treated as a clinical measurement.

The 12-Week Reset is educational content adapted from published graduated exercise protocols. It is not a treatment plan written for you. Graduated exercise helps many people with POTS and makes some people worse if it is rushed, which is why the app asks you a screening question about post-exertional symptoms before it will start, and why it asks you to confirm your doctor knows what you are doing. Please answer those honestly, and please stop any session if you feel faint, unwell, or have chest pain.

3. Your account

4. What is free and what is paid

A free account gives you the rescue page, the whole Learn library, logging of everything the app records, guided lean tests, your last 14 days of data, and week one of the 12-Week Reset including its safety screening. No card is required and there is no trial clock.

WhatPriceType
Steady On Plus, annual£30Subscription, renews yearly
Steady On Plus, monthly£3.50Subscription, renews monthly
The 12-Week Reset on its own£25One-off, no renewal

All prices include VAT where it applies. We will tell you before any price change affects you, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

5. Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details. Stripe acts as merchant of record for the sale. Your access begins as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.

If a renewal payment fails we will not immediately cut you off. We will let Stripe retry, and you keep your access while that happens. A failed payment does not delete anything.

6. Your right to cancel, and how it is affected

Because this is digital content bought at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days to cancel and get your money back.

What we ask you to agree at checkout Before you pay, we ask you to confirm two separate things: that you want your access to start immediately rather than in 14 days' time, and that you understand doing so means you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel under regulation 37. Both boxes are unticked when you arrive, and neither is required. If you would rather keep the statutory right, do not tick them, and email us instead so we can arrange access to start after the 14 days have run.

Why week one is free

We do not offer a general right to change your mind after buying, so we have put the trial before the payment rather than after it. Week one of the 12-Week Reset, including its safety screening, is free to everyone with no card and no time limit. The free account also gives you the rescue page, the whole Learn library, all the logging and guided lean tests. That is a fair look at whether Steady On suits you before any money changes hands.

None of this affects the rights you have by law. Nothing in these terms takes away any right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund if the digital content is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality. If something we sold you does not work, tell us and we will put it right or refund you.

If you are in genuine difficulty, write to us anyway. We would rather hear from you than not.

7. Cancelling a subscription

Cancel at any time, in the app, under More then Steady On Plus then Manage or cancel. It takes one tap and opens Stripe's own portal.

When you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it then stops. We do not pro-rate part-months, but nothing is deleted: your data stays exactly where it is, and you simply stop seeing the paid analysis. Resubscribe later and it all comes back.

The £25 one-off purchase of the 12-Week Reset does not renew and does not need cancelling. It is yours to keep.

8. Availability

We will try to keep Steady On running and available, but we cannot promise it will never be down. It depends on services we do not control, and it may be interrupted for maintenance, faults or things outside our control. If a paid feature is unavailable for a long period, contact us and we will sort out a fair adjustment.

We may change or remove features. If we remove something significant that you are paying for, we will tell you and you may cancel and get a refund for the unused part of what you paid.

9. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes, and is not limited to, liability for:

Beyond that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable at the time you signed up.

Steady On is supplied for personal use. We are not liable for business losses.

The one that matters most Steady On shows you your own data. It does not tell you whether you are well, and it cannot see anything you have not typed in. Decisions about your health, your medication and your exercise are for you and your clinician, and the app is not a reason to delay getting medical help. If you are unwell, please speak to a doctor.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under More then Account & your data. That removes your data as described in our privacy notice. Deleting your account does not automatically refund an unused subscription, so ask us first if you want both.

We may suspend or end an account that is being used to harm other people, to break these terms, or unlawfully. If we do, we will tell you why and refund anything you have paid for a period you can no longer use, unless the reason is fraud.

11. Our content, and yours

The app, its text, its figures and the 12-Week Reset are ours, and you may not copy or redistribute them. You may of course print, export and share anything about yourself, including your doctor report.

Everything you log stays yours. We claim no ownership of it and we do not use it to train anything.

Some exercise videos in the app are published by the charity PoTS UK and hosted on YouTube. They belong to their creators, we link to them with credit, and they are governed by YouTube's own terms once you choose to load one.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and, if you do not accept it, you may cancel and get a refund for the unused part of what you paid.

13. Complaints and law

Please email enquiries@symingtonintelligencegroup.co.uk and we will try to put it right.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer.
